1981 DeLorean DMC-12

DMC 12 front

Why We Like It

The owner says it has no flux capacitor, but this DeLorean doesn't need one - it will take you right back to the past like it's 1981. It's covered just 3231 miles from new, has its original radio, jack, tools and even (perhaps unwisely, given their age) wears its original tyres. If you want a near factory-fresh DeLorean, this must be close to as good as it gets.

1985 Aston Martin Lagonda

AML fr 3 4

Why We Like It

The razor-edged Bill Towns-designed 1970s Lagonda saloon looks unexpectedly acceptable these days, and with the price of most Astons beyond the financial orbit of most of us, these less expensive beasts are looking more appealing. Not only does this Lagonda benefit from £36,000-worth of recent mechanical work, says its seller, but its cathode-ray-tube instruments function in all their glowing glory.

2008 Alfa Romeo Brera 2.2 S

alfa romeo brera jts s S2353382 5

Why We Like It

This is a low mileage example of the Brera S, a model co-developed by British rally and performance car specialists Prodrive and Alfa Romeo only for the UK market. That makes this example a relatively uncommon example of an already rare coupe. Besides being low mileage it's also said to be in excellent condition, to have a full stamped service history, and an MoT out to August 2017.

1971 Ford Capri Mk 1 3000 GT XLR automatic

3

Why We Like It

It looks as sharp as the suit of the man Ford's advertising agency imagined driving it back in 1971 - a man of action, with sideburns. This car's apparently exceptional condition, its rarity and claimed 34,000 miles explain the price, as do rocketing Capri values.

1973 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Series 2 swb automatic

jaguar xj6 series 2 154074018 1

Why We Like It

The first three Series of XJ Jaguars, which ran from 1968 to 1992, still look undervalued given what handsome, standard-setting cars they were. This XJ is quite pricey, but it appears to be in exceptional condition, has had low ownership and covered few miles. Probably worth a look if you want what could be an investment-grade example.

1974 Fiat 127 Deluxe

11

Why We Like It

If you want 'what's that?' rarity, you should be tempted by what was once one of Europe's biggest-sellers. The trail-blazing 127 was a mild riot to drive and practical with it. This apparently exceptional, rust-free Fiat (shock) survivor appears to need little and has wonderful orange upholstery to up the nostalgia.
